The Standard Semi-Hollow:

This model was built to fill a niche in my own guitar arsenal. I wanted a Semi-hollow guitar that was a bit bigger than a normal carved top guitar but not as big as regular semi-hollow. For example I found the ES335 to be to big. Out of this philosophy came the Standard. A fat sounding easy to handle guitar. Built to be light and resonant with fat bottom end and sparkling highs. With mids that are nice and honkin' like you would expect from a semi-hollow guitar. These are great guitars for Rock, blues, and slide. Its also one sexy looking guitar.

The Standard Hollowbody:

From the Standard Semi-hollow guitar the hollowbody was born. Ive always liked the feel of the carved back guitars but I couldnt get down with the sound of most of them. I found them to flubby in the bass and not much cut in the highs. Not to mention the feedback problems. So I decide this guitar would have the fullness of a hollowbody but without the farty bottom end. With this guitar I feel Ive hit the nail on the head. Because of the smaller body I managed to get more control of the bass and add more chime to the treble. By carving the top and back plates specifically to match the players preferences i can tune the guitar to just about anyones playing style. However, this isnt a metal guitar. It excells at clean tones and "edge of breakup" tone.
